We are going to Disney on 12/5/09. Looking into Mickey's Very Merry X-mas party. Kids are 7 & 9. I am concerned about the crowds, do you have an idea as to how many people they allow for each party? Does it usually sell out?

    Hi Catherine,

I had the opportunity to go to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party for the first time last year.  It was a festive way to add a little extra holiday magic to our vacation!

I believe the attendance to the party is capped somewhere around 25,000.  Weekends are the most crowded as a lot of locals tend to bring there children to these events.  There are nights when it does sell out, and It's definitely a good idea to purchase tickets in advance by calling 407-937-7693.

Some of the highlights of this event include: a special Christmas Parade and Holiday Wishes fireworks show, Santa, cookies & hot cocoa, snow on Main Street, and much more.  The entire park is decorated for the holidays, and you'll get to ride many attractions with a much shorter wait time because of the smaller crowds.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
