Hi there, Nicole! Welcome to planDisney!
As a lifelong Floridian myself, Walt Disney World is practically part of my DNA. Even though I live just an hour away, I really miss the theme parks in the summer when our family's Florida Resident Silver Passes are in blockout. Looking at the Admission Calendar for your
Theme Park Select Annual Pass, however, I think there's some good news for you. While the Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios are still blocked out from now through August 4, EPCOT and Disney's Animal Kingdom Park are open to you all summer long! You'll need to make
Disney Park Pass reservations and check the
Availability Calendar to plan your visit, but you can definitely have some Disney magic this summer!
If you were hoping to visit one of the other theme parks instead, we haven't gotten word from Disney on current blockout dates being suspended for any of the Annual Pass levels, but we can always hope! Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updates, and I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed, too!
Nicole, when those blockout blues hit, one of the things my family likes to do is plan a non-parks stay at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Since we're not going to the theme parks, we'll take that opportunity to stay at a Resort hotel with extra amenities like
Disney's Wilderness Lodge (one of our favorite splurges!). This summer, we're going for one of the Family Suites at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort! We're big fans of this one, with its immersive theming and amazing feature pool. Plus, your room includes a kitchenette, a separate bedroom, and TWO bathrooms - game changer! And of course, if we want to do some exploring, we can just hop aboard the
Disney Skyliner and Resort hop to our hearts' content. Honestly, our non-parks stays have been some of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort adventures.
I hope this helps you have a magical time this summer, Nicole. If you have any more questions, please swing on by and see us again real soon!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
