Disney L&S Cruise - we have the WDW resort choice of AK, Beach Club, SSR, Poly, or Swan. We NEED balcony OR sep bdrm, and will spend most time at MK. Character dining at resort would be great. Which is the best choice? Is the Bus from SSR to MK lon

With the Land and Sea package, you will be assigned to a standard room at your resort. A separate bedroom would only be available in a one or two bedroom villa at the Beach Club, Saratoga Springs or Animal Kingdom villas. This option would cost extra as the standard accommodations in the villas are studio rooms. For more flexibility, you might want to consider booking your land and sea trip components separately. Sometimes this yields a cost-savings as well!

For balcony accommodations,  the Animal Kingdom Lodge and Saratoga Springs would be your best bet. The Polynesian Resort has some rooms without balconies. The Beach Club has some rooms with only standing balconies. The Swan has no balconies.

Character dining is offered at the Beach Club and Polynesian resorts.

The bus ride from Saratoga Springs to the Magic Kingdom can be tiresome as it makes several stops within the resort as well.

Since you are spending most of your time at the Magic Kingdom, I would choose the Polynesian. The monorail and boat access to the Magic Kingdom is extremely convenient. I would make sure to note on your reservation that you would like to request a patio or balcony room. Your family could also book the Lilo and Stitch Best Friends breakfast at ‘Ohana. In addition, the Polynesian has very large rooms!
