    We will be in Disney in June and plan on going to Blizzard Beach. Everything says the swimsuits can't have metal rivets. Every pair of swim trunks I find for my 8-year-old at the very least have rivets at the drawstring waist. How picky are they on this?

    Hi Julieann,

    While I have seen people turned away for wearing swimsuits with metal rivets, I think your son will be fine.  I just checked my son's swim trunks, and they also have metal eyelets at the waistband.  He wore them to Typhoon Lagoon last October and had no problems.

    The reason for the rule is to protect the slides from being damaged.  I find that women are the most susceptible to being turned away as many woman's bathing suits have metal as decorative elements.
