We are going to Disney in June, I would like to find out , how much of the Fantasyland is closed , Also what rides are open in Fantasyland. My 5 year old really wants to see princesses and tinkerbell.

    Hi, Deborah!

The first part of the Fantasyland expansion is in its "soft opening": the first rides are one of the double Dumbo spinners (complete with incredible LED effects and water features), the Great Goofini coaster, and the Fantasyland train station.

Several unaffiliated fan sites have posted tentative timelines, provided at the last D23 Expo in Anaheim, CA. The timeline, unconfirmed in writing by Disney, looks like this:

June 1, 2012 - Snow White’s Scary Adventures closes to make way for Princess Fairytale Hall
Late 2012 - Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid ride, Be Our Guest restaurant, Beauty and the Beast village, Belle meet-and-greet
Early 2013 - Remainder of Storybook Circus
Late 2013 - Seven Dwarfs Mine Train roller coaster

The Princesses hold court in Magic Kingdom's Town Square Theater; Tinker Bell's Nook is in Adventureland, adjacent to Aloha Isle. She often has friends over, including Silvermist, Vidia, Rosette, Fawn, and Terrence. You'll want to pick up a Times Guide on your Magic Kingdom day for the most up-to-date greeting times.

You can also dine with the Princesses at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot's Norway pavilion. Reservations can be made by calling (407) WDW-DINE, or by booking online.

    Have a great trip!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
