We are going to Disney in July staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge and going to each park one day. What are the must eat at places? We will have the Deluxe Dining Plan and I want to get the most value from it!

    Hi Lindsay,

Well, you have come to the right place. Dining at Disney is one of my favorite things to do (a close second to riding my favorite ride, Peter Pan's Flight, of course). I'd be happy to offer my suggestions for each park.

At Magic Kingdom, I'd definitely try to get an advanced dining reservation for dinner at Be Our Guest Restaurant. If you can't get this popular reservation, lunch there is a wonderful alternative. Keep in mind that dinner is table service, while lunch is considered "fast casual" (although it is my favorite place to dine for lunch). Another favorite of mine is Columbia Harbour House. While this is also a quick service spot, it has some really wonderful and unique options different from your typical quick service fare.

In Animal Kingdom, I would recommend a character meal at Tusker House. The food is delicious and the characters here in their safari wear are lots of fun for everyone. Flame Tree Barbecue is another great quick service restaurant with unique choices.

Moving on to Epcot, my absolute favorites are Biergarten in Germany (our family must-do every single trip) Le Cellier in Canada, Monsieur Paul in France and Via Napoli in Italy. That said, with all of the amazing choices here at World Showcase, you really can't go wrong.

Finally, at Disney's Hollywood Studios, 50s Prime Time Cafe and Hollywood Brown Derby are always fun and interesting places to dine.

Don't forget those restaurants at your resort. Jiko - The Cooking Place and Boma are two very popular spots that offer amazing dining.

    Bon Appétit,
