Going to Disney in JUly with our 2 kids, 4 and 6, staying @ Port Orleans - FQ. Should we rent a car or use the bus service they offer? How long do people have to wait for the buses and do they fill up? do they do alot of other stops after picking us up

    Hi Cheryl!

This is a great question.  Many guests love to leave the driving to Disney and don't mind waiting for a bus.  However, I almost always rent a car when going to Walt Disney World.  I like to have the flexibility a car offers and, with the exception of the Magic Kingdom, it is must faster to get around Walt Disney World by driving yourself.  It is also very easy to do.

If you do decide to go with Disney transportation, buses and boats typically run about every 20 minutes.  The monorails typically show up between 5 and 10 minutes depending on the time of day.  Buses do fill up, especially in the morning when the parks first open and late at night when the parks close.  Disney does add extra buses during those periods, but there are a lot of guests to move around at those times.  Buses to Port Orleans French Quarter do stop at Port Orleans Riverside and there are multiple bus stops there.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
