We are going to disney in july. This will be our first time staying in a moderate resort. We got a great deal at coronado springs. I have read so many bad reviews on all ears. Can someone give me any positive reviews or recomendations on cs.

    Jamie,

As you may know, the "Moms" stayed at the Coronado Springs Resort (CSR) in early December, for our initial training session. We had such a great visit that I think we all hold a special place in our hearts for the Coronado. Translation - we also may be a bit biased in favor of the resort! ;-)

Personally I think all of the resorts at WDW have many great features and some issues. There is no one perfect Resort for all visitors.  As a result, every resort has fans and non-fans, and often the ones that dislike a resort are fairly vocal.  Want proof? Try to find many resort recommendations on the Moms Panel site that have perfect "5" scores. ;-)

With this in mind, I'll highlight key pros/cons features of CSR...

    Cons:
    - The most common complaints is that it is too large (it is a very long walk to the lobby/restaurants from the "Ranchos" area, and a very long walk to the main pool if you are in the "Casitas" area)
    - Limited dining options.  I personally liked the Pepper Market, but many don't.
    - CSR often hosts convention guests.  Some people feel that seeing ties/suits can detract from their vacation mood.  I noticed this a little, but it didn't bother me in the slightest.

    Pros:
    - Nicely themed rooms, which are fairly spacious (314 sq ft -- same for all Moderates)
    - Great themed main pool area (The Dig Site)
    - A nice fitness center*
    - A very helpful business center*
    - Wireless internet available in many public areas
[*usually only found in Deluxe category]

Again, overall, I really liked this resort and would gladly return with my family.

I'm confident that this info will help set your expectations appropriately, and set you up for a great stay at the CSR.  Enjoy!
