We are going to Disney in January and i would love to take a picture in front of the castle in my wedding gown (traditional white dress with embroidery but not princess style- more boho) (i would change) would that be ok or is it forbidden?

    Hiya, Giselle!

Welcome to planDisney! I am delighted to hear that you are planning a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth in January. A visit to Walt Disney World Resort doesn't feel complete without a photo in front of Cinderella Castle. This is an iconic way to capture memories of your stay, and a wedding dress is sure to make the shot extra special. This is actually a really great question. Let's go over everything you need to know about Walt Disney World Resort's dress code policy, and how to capture the photo of your dreams in your dream dress.

When it comes to dresses at Magic Kingdom Park, it is important to note that clothing that drags on the ground is prohibited. If your dress is gown length and touches the ground you would not be able to wear it to the theme parks. I also chatted with a friendly Cast Member today who confirmed that wedding dresses are not permitted at Magic Kingdom Park.

I know this may not be the news you were dreaming of, but Hakuna Matata, friend! Though wedding dresses cannot be worn to Magic Kingdom Park for a traditional day, you can still reserve your spot to have that photo taken. Guests can book a photography session with Disney Fairytale Weddings & Honeymoons, even if they are not planning a wedding at Walt Disney World Resort. Working with Disney's Fine Art Photography is a fabulous option to get beautiful and unique photos featuring the most memorable dress you may ever wear. The session is for the couple only and takes place before the park opens for the day. You can begin planning your photography session by reaching out to Disney Fine Art Photography online. All you need to do to get started is fill out their inquiry form!

I hope your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
    We'll see ya real soon!
