We were in Disney in Jan. 2014. We purchased our mugs at the resort. We will be going again in a few weeks. Do they just re-program them?? Hope we can use the same ones. Thanks.

    Hi Ruth!

Yes, you can bring a old refillable mug to use as long as it is a Disney Rapid Fill RFID mug from a previous trip and as long as the RFID chip is still working--make sure that the mug hasn't been heated in a microwave or dishwasher which would destroy the RFID chip.  I just asked if these mugs can be reloaded on one of my recent trips to Walt Disney World and the answer was "yes" (you could add one or two days at $3.00 a day). Keep in mind that I was only given the option of adding one or two days to my existing Rapid Fill Mug which wasn't enough for me as I was staying for 6 days on that particular trip. It would not hurt to ask if you could purchase more days but the cost may end up being more than just purchasing a new Rapid Fill Mug with the length of stay option. The current Rapid FIll Mug prices which includes the purchase of a new Rapid Fill Mug as I am answering your question are: 1 day-$8.99, 2 days-$11.99, 3 days-$14.99, or length of stay-$17.99.  I love to keep my Disney Rapid Fill Mugs as souvenirs and I use them at home everyday.

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
