HI! I've never been to Disney before and I'm completely lost as to where I need to begin. It will be my boyfriend and I. We are looking to keep things simple and cheap for about 4 days. We love Marvel and would also love to see Animal Kingdom.

    Hi Leah! Welcome to planDisney!

Thanks for stopping by and asking me your question. I have a huge smile on my face as I think about you experiencing all that the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer for the first time. I understand how overwhelming it can be to plan a visit, but I am here to help in any way that I can!

Depending on your budget, you can look into staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel. The different resorts offer a wide range of prices and amenities, so I recommend spending a little time at the resort link I included above to read about each one. It helps to search for the dates you are hoping to visit so you can see the prices that will work with your budget. Don’t forget to check out the Special Offers page, too! When you are on the site, you’ll see a category for “Value Resort Hotels.” These are the most budget-friendly, but they don’t skimp on the Disney Magic. They have loads of it!

Next, you should decide how many days you want to visit the theme parks so you know what type of Walt Disney World theme park tickets you need. If you are planning to spend four days in the theme parks, you could plan one day at each park and may not need the Park Hopper Option because you’ll likely spend the entire day in the same theme park. If you are visiting three or fewer days, you can consider adding the Park Hopper Option to “hop” around and visit more than one theme park in a day. The park hopper theme park tickets allow you to do things like spend the morning in Disney’s Animal Kingdom but move over to EPCOT for the second half of your day. They are super flexible!

After you have your Walt Disney World theme park tickets, you will want to make Disney Park Pass reservations. This is just to reserve your spot for the theme park you are going to visit that day. If you go with the Park Hopper Option, you only need to make a reservation for the first theme park you will visit that day. I highly recommend an entire day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There aren’t a lot of Marvel offerings, but Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is incredible! It’s not to be missed.

I hope this helps you get your vacation planning started, Leah! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
