Hello Daniel,
Welcome to
planDisney! You've come to the right place! As a group of Disney-loving adults, we are delighted to assist you with your upcoming adventure. The Disney Resorts Collection offers so many incredible options that it can be tricky to
choose your home port. I'd love to share a few of my favorites across different price points to help you find the perfect fit. Let's dive in!
To maximize value, I like Disney's Pop Century Resort. Its location along the Disney Skyliner gives you convenient access to EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and nearby resorts for shopping and dining. The sleek and modern rooms offer ample space for two adults. This is an excellent choice if you plan to spend most of your time exploring the theme parks.
Next, I recommend Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. It's a bit pricier than Disney's Pop Century Resort, but you'll enjoy more amenities and dining options. If you can swing it, the Gran Destino Tower rooms are perfect for two adults. The resort is centrally located and a quick bus ride from all four theme parks. Three Bridges Bar & Grill and the Dahlia Lounge are fantastic spots for sipping adult beverages and savoring Hispanic-inspired cuisine.
Finally, in the Disney Deluxe Resort category, my number one choice is Disney's Yacht Club Resort. It's my favorite hotel in Walt Disney World and an ideal escape for an adults-only adventure. The vibes are welcoming but mature, and the nautical-themed rooms are lovely. This resort is within walking distance of EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, and also offers relaxing boat transportation to both. You'll find casual and signature dining experiences within the resort and nearby at Disney's BoardWalk. The picturesque location along Crescent Lake is perfect for evening strolls with your travel partner. Even if you don't end up dropping anchor at this resort, I recommend stopping by for lunch at Ale & Compass during a midday break when visiting EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios.
I hope this has been helpful, Daniel, and it gives you some ideas on how to get started on the planning process. When my family has difficulty choosing a resort, we do a "split stay." We spend part of our vacation at one resort and then switch to another. This is a great way to experience multiple hotels, and as a bonus, Disney will transfer your luggage! Simply bring your bags to Bell Services when checking out from your first resort, and they'll magically whisk them away to your second. The ease of "moving day" makes split stays a lot more fun.
Thanks for sending your question to planDisney, and we look forward to welcoming you home very soon.
