do the disney hotels offer little surprises for birthays in the room

Hey howdy hey, Jessica! You’ve got a friend in me at planDisney, so let’s get started!

I can’t think of anything more magical than celebrating a birthday at the Happiest Place on Earth! Plus, it sounds like you’re also planning a stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, which makes your visit even more magical! I love being immersed in the Disney experience by staying on-property… you simply can’t beat the convenience or the overall experience!

In the past, the Disneyland Resort has offered in-room celebrations through Disney Floral & Gifts. From banners to flowers to special gifts, there’s no limit to the creativity of the Floral & Gifts team! Unfortunately, this service isn’t currently being offered at the Disneyland Resort, but I’m crossing my fingers it returns soon! Since I don’t know the exact timing of your stay, I recommend continuing to check this page in case these special in-room celebrations return before your visit. I'm sending some pixie dust your way that they do!

In the meantime, I have several other suggestions for some fun ways to celebrate! First and foremost, be sure to ask for a complimentary birthday button at your hotel’s Front Desk, or upon arriving in the theme parks. You can find celebratory buttons at  City Hall in Disneyland Park, or Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park. You’ll love the extra attention from Characters and Cast Members who notice your button!

What’s a birthday without cake, am I right?! I recommend adding a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake to a dining reservation at one of these participating Disneyland Resort restaurants. You’ll be able to add a cake to your reservation when booking online at least three days before the reservation. You can also order a cake in-person at the restaurant’s host podium, or at the Concierge Desk at your Disneyland Resort Hotel. However, if you need to request the cake on your arrival day, you’ll need to do so in person upon arrival at the restaurant. Luckily, the participating restaurants have a limited quantity of celebration cakes available for day-of orders.

Last but not least, you may want to check out the “Ear for Each Other” group on Facebook – I’ve found some wonderful small businesses offering fun balloon and flower deliveries to Disneyland Resort Hotels through this group!

I hope this helps you enjoy a magical birthday to remember, Jessica! To infinity and beyond!

    Wishing you magic,
    Kristin

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Greetings from sunny California! I live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder (and now a Magic Key Passholder) for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids ages 5-10, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Learn More About Kristin
