What Disney hotels offer characters (shows and/or dining) as well as water park for small child 2 years old and possibly an indoor play area?

Hi Richelle, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Finding just the right Walt Disney World Resort hotel for your family can seem like choosing your favorite Disney treat - there are so many great options, how can you pick just one? In fact, I have a few different ideas for you to consider, so you can pick the best one for you.

    • Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground - Meet your favorite characters at Chip & Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long and Mickey's Backyard BBQ, splash around in a kids' play area at the Meadow Swimmin' Pool, have a ball at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, and even take a pony ride. And if you're not a camper, don't worry. You can "rough it" in style in your own cabin.
    • Disney's Contemporary Resort - Dine with Mickey and his pals at Chef Mickey's, soak in the sun while your little one enjoys the kids' water play area, and do it all just steps from the Magic Kingdom.
    • Disney's Beach Club Resort - Goofy and the gang are all decked out in their beach gear for breakfast at Cape May Cafe, and your child will love to play in the sand at Stormalong Bay Pool.

Most of the resort hotels have some wide open spaces for the little ones to play, and some feature small children's areas near the check-in desk.

These are just a few of my favorite choices, but there are others that may work for you, too. Check out this list of all the Walt Disney World Resort hotels if you'd like to do some more exploring. I'm sure you'll find the perfect fit for your family.

I hope this helps with your planning, Richelle. Wishing you a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
