Hey there, Ricky. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with this great transportation question. Getting to the magic is an important part of the fun! I am excited for your visit to
Disneyland Resort, and am happy to answer your question!
If you are staying at a Good Neighbor Hotel, transportation can look a little different than at the official Disneyland Resort Hotels. Disneyland Resort transportation buses do not pick up from Good Neighbor Hotels. The bus you may be thinking of is reserved for shuttling guests from the Toy Story Parking area to the main entrance. Instead, many Good Neighbor Hotels offer their own shuttle service to and from the Parks, or they are close enough that you can walk right over to the main entrance. Some hotels participate in shared shuttle programs, while others operate their own branded hotel buses.
Because each
Good Neighbor Hotel is a little different, I always recommend checking the hotel’s website or reaching out to their front desk directly to see what transportation options they offer and whether reservations are required. That will give you the most accurate scoop for your specific stay.
If you are looking to get to the Parks quickly and with maximum flexibility, ride share services like Uber or Lyft are also a great option. They can drop you off near the main entrance, making it an easy and speedy way to start your day at The Happiest Place on Earth.
I see that your visit is coming up in February, which means you will be arriving during the
Lunar New Year Celebration at Disney California Adventure Park, one of my favorite seasonal festivities. This celebration honors Lunar New Year traditions inspired by Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese cultures, and the park truly comes alive with vibrant decor, festive music, and joyful energy. You can enjoy a special Lunar New Year marketplace filled with delicious food and drink offerings that are exclusive to the season, along with colorful entertainment and live performances that celebrate the spirit of the holiday. Keep an eye out for special character appearances too. Mickey Mouse and friends often join the celebration dressed in their Lunar New Year attire, which makes for some extra memorable photo opportunities. It is a wonderful time to slow down, soak in the culture, and savor experiences you will only find at Disneyland Resort during this time of year.
Ricky, no matter how you arrive, the magic is waiting just beyond the gates. If you have more questions as you plan your visit, come on back now, you hear.
Wishing you many magical memories.
