Welcome to planDisney, Joan! We are glad you brought your question to us today.
Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation will be here before you know it! I completely understand that you would like to take care of all those last-minute details and questions so you can get packing and ready for
The World's Most Magical Celebration!
I am happy to let you know that all
Disney Resorts Collection hotels provide towels at all pools. If you are visiting one of the "quiet" pools and for some reason do not see towels, you can stop by the feature pool to pick up some there.
I just returned home from a visit to the 'World, and the pool at our hotel was a welcome respite from the Florida heat! We went to the parks early, returned to our hotel around noon for lunch and a swim, and then went back to the parks later in the afternoon when the heat of the day had subsided a bit. If you will have young travelers with you, check the board in your hotel lobby for a schedule of activities. Most days recreation staff lead games at the pool, which is a great way for kids to keep busy and meet new friends.
Rain showers (OK, let's be honest -- downpours!) are common in Florida in the summer months, usually occurring in mid to late afternoon. We were prepared with rain ponchos and waterproof sandals. Many theme park attractions are indoors and continue operating in the rain, so our rain gear allowed us to carry on with our day as many other Guests headed to the exits, leaving shorter wait times at the attractions for us!
Joan, I am wishing you a wonderful vacation. Please let us know if you have any additional questions -- we are always happy to help. Enjoy your stay!
