Welcome to planDisney, Carol! Thanks so much for coming to us with your question today. There are so many reasons that I love staying at a
Disney Deluxe Resort, not least of which is the opportunity to spend exclusive time in the Theme Parks with
Extended Evening Hours. It's such a nice perk and a great way to maximize your time at
EPCOT and
Magic Kingdom Park!
In order to enjoy Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, you will either need to have valid admission and a
theme park reservation for the same park on the same day, or you can visit another Theme Park first and still experience extended evening hours if you have a ticket or
Annual Pass with the Park Hopper option. For example, if you do not have Park Hopper tickets and want to enjoy extended hours at Magic Kingdom Park, you will need a reservation for that theme park on that day, but that is not a requirement if you're an Annual Passholder or have Park Hopper tickets.
The
Virtual Queues for
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and
TRON Lightcycle / Run open up at 6:00 p.m. for guests with access to extended evening hours. You do not need to be inside a Theme Park to join the Virtual Queue, and if you are an Annual Passholder or a guest with Park Hopper tickets, you also do not have to have a reservation for the Theme Park you plan to visit that evening. The only time a reservation will come into play is if you have a ticket that does not include park hopping.
I know that's a lot of information to take in, but I promise that it is super easy once you're on vacation and in the swing of things. If you have any more questions about the Virtual Queue, Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, or anything else, please feel free to
drop me another question and I'll be happy to answer it for you.
Have a magical day, Carol!
