Hi Janel,
Thanks for your question! To my knowledge, there are not Walt Disney World resort hotels that regularly have characters greeting guests simply at the resort. I think that your idea of doing some
dining with characters is a great one!
Tusker House Restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park offers a mix of traditional African and American fare, so more adventurous eaters and those who are more cautious both have great options. At this restaurant, you can meet Donald Duck and his friends in their safari gear, which is appropriate given the location! I also enjoy a meal at
The Garden Grill Restaurant in Epcot. At this slowly rotating restaurant, you can meet Chip 'n' Dale and their friends. The cuisine is fresh, and some of the vegetables used are grown right in the greenhouses at Land Pavilion where the restaurant is located!
For a character meal outside of the theme parks, try
'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Breakfast here is a character meal that includes Lilo and Stitch, and the meal is served family style. Finally, although it is more of an interactive dinner show than simply a character dining meal, I love
Mickey's Backyard BBQ at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. This experience includes great entertainment, and even dancing with the characters!
Please do note that all character appearances are subject to change. Please do let us know if you have any further questions, Janel!
