Hi Paul! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with this great question!
Oh boy! I'm excited to hear you've booked a Disney holiday for next summer! It's never too early to start the planning process for your next
Walt Disney World visit! Let's dive into your question and see how you'll be able to make it all work.
When booking a vacation package that includes your Disney Resorts hotel and ticket package, the start date of the tickets begins the first day of your hotel reservation. With your tickets tied to your Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge reservation, you'll need to wait until July 1st to start using these tickets.
One option you can consider is booking your
ticket package separately from your resort reservation. By doing this, you can make the start date of your tickets begin on June 25th. While the total cost of each of these options is similar, you will miss out on some of the Magical Extras that are included when booking them together. This may include the Disney Dining & Merchandise Credit and the Disney Gift Card being offered. If these extras are important to you, then I would stick with your original plan to book as a package.
Another potential option may be to include your ticket package starting with your stay at the
Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel. If you are able to bundle these together, you can start using your tickets on June 25th. Your best bet will be to
call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line and speak to a Cast Member for assistance. I tried booking a package with this hotel on the Walt Disney Travel Company website, and it recommended calling for help.
Paul, I hope this information helps you plan for your stay next year!
