    Hello DIsney Helpers! What is the best way to get from Contem. Hotel to Poly. for Spirit of Aloha, Monorail? and what about from Contemp. to HS, How long does that take?  We were going to drive & park at HS. Is that faster than buses? Help! Tnx,

    Hi Kelli!

    Yes indeed the best way to get from the Contemporary Resort to the Polynesian Resort will be by monorail. You will be on the resort line and will have one stop at the Transportation and Ticket Center and then your next stop will be the Polynesian.  On the return trip you will stop at Grand Floridian, Magic Kingdom and then back to the Contemporary.  Make sure you give yourself plenty of time for this trip as during busy times of day when parks are closing or families are moving for dinner the monorails can be busy.  Also give yourself time in case of an infrequent breakdown. There is nothing worse then being "stuck" and thinking your dining reservation is being lost.  Once you arrive at the Polynesian the walk to the Spirit of Aloha will take about five minutes. You will check in at one of two spots in the main lobby and there will be cast members to guide you to where you need to be.

    Whether you should drive or take a Disney bus to Hollywood Studios is answered by personal preference.  If you are going early and can get a parking spot close I find that driving can be easy. It would take about 10-15 minutes to reach the park.  I usually walk in along the tram aisle and avoid the tram and enter through the side security gate which rarely ever has a wait.  If you are going at off times then take the bus as it will drop you off right at the entrance and save you the extra time it would take to get on a tram to and from the park.
