Can Disney help us plan a 50th Wedding Anniversary with my family of 22-24 people, in total. Park tickets, venues, special events, etc.?

Hi there John and welcome to planDisney!

I'd like to begin by wishing you a huge Congratulations as you plan to celebrate 50 years of your Happily Ever After next year! It's incredible to think that your love has spanned the history of Walt Disney World Resort, as its own 50th anniversary celebration comes to a close.

As a recent Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Groom, we had a similar number of family and guests at our events and we were both so impressed at the way that the various Disney teams came together to create such a seamless experience from planning through to execution! Here are a few of my Princely Picks, Tips and Tricks that you may find useful as you begin the process of planning to celebrate your love at the Most Magical Place on Earth:

    • I recommend that you reach out to Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings team first as they may have the most options available to you, especially if you're looking to commemorate the occasion with a renewal of vows in a stunning location exclusive for ceremonies to take place, surrounded by your loved ones!
    • If you're not necessarily planning a formal ceremony of any kind, the Disney Meetings & Events team may be able to help you organize special celebrations with immersive experiences - that may even take place in theme park locations.
    • Whichever team best applies to what you envision for your big 50th celebration may assist you with connecting to a Room Block Coordinator who can help you with group bookings applying to groups of your size or greater. (In our experience, they even offered us discounted rates and the opportunity for a complimentary night for a certain number of nights booked through our room block.) You may even be able to contact a Cast Member regarding Group Reservations for 10 rooms or more directly!
    • Planning a large group event may also provide you access to specially-priced Theme Park tickets, or even discounted rates after a certain time of day. This is subject to availability and offerings may change without prior notice, so I recommend inquiring to see what you may be eligible for.
Some ideas to get you inspired include having an exclusive attraction mix-in for your family to enjoy together after hours, a private meet and greet with some special character pals in up to 30-minute increments or event hosting a Dessert Party where you and your guests are treated to a reserved viewing area for a nighttime spectacular like Fantasmic! Imagine walking into Disney's Hollywood Studios and strolling along a nearly-empty Sunset Boulevard to a specially catered dinner in the shadow of the Hollywood Tower Hotel while being greeted by an eerie bellhop who happens to know secret details about each of your family members - the sky (and perhaps your budget) is truly the limit!

Please don't hesitate to come back to planDisney again to ask me any more questions about celebrating such a major milestone at a Disney Destination.

Congratulations again, and wishing you so many more Happily Ever After moments for years to come!
