Hi Starlyn,
Welcome back to planDisney! It’s always great to see familiar names pop back in with more questions, especially when they’re tied to something as special as a gender reveal! We love helping Guests like you bring Disney dreams to life, and I’m thrilled to help you plan another unforgettable moment at
Walt Disney World Resort.
Let’s talk gender reveals at Disney World, and your options for doing one in front of Cinderella Castle, a picture-perfect spot to share your big news! While there isn’t an official gender reveal service offered by Disney, there are some creative and memorable ways you can make the moment magical right in the heart of Magic Kingdom Park.
Start by considering a
Capture Your Moment photo session. These are private 20-minute photo shoots with a Disney PhotoPass photographer in select areas of the park, and yes, in front of the Castle can be requested! You can bring a small prop like a pair of pink or blue Mickey ears, a onesie, or even a custom sign to reveal the news during the session. Just make sure any props follow park guidelines and don’t cause a crowd or block walkways. My advice is to keep it subtle, sweet, and portable. To schedule your session, just head over to the “Capture Your Moment” page on the Walt Disney World website and choose Magic Kingdom as your location. I recommend booking early, as these spots fill up fast, especially if you're aiming for a Castle backdrop.
Another fun idea? Visit one of the many merchandise locations that offer personalization, places like
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square or
Disney’s Days of Christmas at Disney Springs. You could have a special ornament, baby outfit, or plush embroidered with “It’s a boy!” or “It’s a girl!” and do the reveal by opening the item right there with the Castle in the background.
If you're traveling with friends or family, they can help orchestrate the moment by handing you the surprise item while a
PhotoPass photographer captures your reaction. And don’t forget to grab a complimentary “I’m Celebrating” button from Guest Relations, they’re happy to write in something like “Baby [Last Name]” to help you mark the occasion all day and vacation long.
Congratulations on your growing family, Starlyn! I can’t wait to hear how it all goes, and if you need more help putting the final touches on this magical celebration, swing back by planDisney.
Cheers!
Brent
