    Hi Disney Moms! I heard you can opt out mousekeeping in exange of a room rebate. Is it true and is there other stuff you can opt out to save some money? Like the refilable mugs? How much can I expect to save with that? Thanks!

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question. It’s lovely to see you again!

    Yes, the rumours are true: select Walt Disney World Resort hotels offer the “Service Your Way” program, which gives Guests the option to decline housekeeping services during their stay. If you choose to opt in to this program, you would receive a Disney Gift Card for a value of $10/night for all but one of the nights of your stay. This means that, if your stay is 6 nights long, you can receive a $50 gift card if you decline “Mousekeeping” for your stay. If you have any questions about this program, make sure to direct them towards the Cast Member who will be checking you in. 

    As for the refillable mugs that are included as part of the Disney Dining Plan (which, based on your question, I’ll assume you purchased for your upcoming vacation), I’m afraid that opting out of that part of your dining plan won’t save you any money. While you certainly don’t have to take and use the mugs during your stay, you won’t get a discount as a result of that choice.
