Aloha, Jessica!
Oh boy! I'm excited about this topic. A Disney cruise in Hawai'i has long been on my family's bucket list. Now, please don't hate me for this. But it just so happens that we checked off that bucket list item last month! We enjoyed a glorious 10-night Hawaiian cruise aboard our favorite ship: the Disney Wonder.
Our sailing ended in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. And it began in Honolulu, Hawai'i. Since we were going to be in the neighborhood, we also couldn't resist adding a visit to Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawai'i for a few days before our cruise set sail. You know how some people say they need a vacation to recover from their vacation? It's already been a month since we returned home. But I think I'm still recovering from that incredible vacation. We enjoyed non-stop activities, gorgeous scenery, and plenty of time on our ship during sea days.
As of today, itineraries for most of the Disney Cruise Line fleet have been scheduled out through August of 2027. Some ships even have a few sailings scheduled into September 2027. Alas! At this time, there isn't a Hawai'i cruise schedule for 2027. The Disney Wonder and the Disney Magic will both be wrapping up their summer 2027 season in Alaska next fall. Whether either of them is going to be scheduled to pay a visit to the Hawaiian Islands later that year remains to be seen. I'm anticipating that the remainder of the Disney Cruise Line itineraries for 2027 will likely be announced sometime during the late summer a few months from now. I recommend checking the latest destinations and itineraries for the new 2027 itineraries then.
I mentioned the recent Disney Wonder sailing from Honolulu to Vancouver. Just before that sailing, the Wonder crossed over the Pacific from an exciting season Down Under. In recent years, Disney Cruise Line visits to the Hawaiian isles have coincided with trans-Pacific Ocean cruises like that. This past sailing from Australia is expected to have been the last Disney Wonder season visiting Australia and New Zealand, at least for the time being. So it doesn't seem likely that there will be trans-Pacific repositioning next year. That doesn't necessarily preclude a visit to Hawai'i next year. But, just in case it isn't meant to be, I do recommend having another option in mind.
Even though the Wonder isn't expected to return to Australia soon, we are at least fortunate that everyone's favorite Blue Heeler, Bluey apparently took passage on the Wonder to visit the United States. From there, she'll be joining several Disney cruise ships. It's not the same as Hawai'i. But she must have passed through there. So if you should meet her, you might ask her how the journey went. And if you should want an in-person experience with Hawai'i, I also highly recommend considering a visit to the lovely Aulani. My family truly loved making lasting memories during our stay there last month.
Wherever you choose to vacation, I hope you have a magical time, Jessica!
