How will Disney handle Jedi Training Reservations with the 6am park opening for Hollywood Studios in the Fall? I have a 4YO who can't wait! Wondering if we need to be there at 6am to sign up?

    Hi Rachel,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question.

I was pretty excited to hear that Guests staying in Walt Disney World Resort hotels will be able to benefit from “Extra” Extra Magic Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and other Theme Parks this Fall. Although I’m not much of an early riser, the excitement of finally getting to see Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will likely get me to bolt out of bed even faster than the smell of freshly brewed coffee!

From what I understand, sign ups for Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple have typically started earlier on days with regular Extra Magic Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I’m not sure whether that’s going to be the case for these special Extra Magic Hours; there haven’t been any official announcements about what impact they’ll have on Jedi Training for your little one.

Here’s what I would recommend: check the Times Guide when you arrive for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation to see whether there is any additional information about the hours for Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple. If you don’t see anything, please ask your Resort’s Lobby Concierge for more information.

My tip: I’m told that, although Jedi Training is still quite popular (and will likely be even more popular once Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens), if you’re willing to be flexible, open time slots don’t disappear as quickly as they used to. If you can, try to plan two mornings at Disney’s Hollywood Studios during your next visit. That way, if you don’t get in on the first morning because sign ups started at 6:00 am and you arrived a little late, or they started later on in the day but you weren't able to secure a spot for your little one, you’ll be able to adjust your touring strategy for the next day that you can visit.

I hope my answer helps you plan an awesome encounter with the Force for your little one! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
