How is Disney going to handle fingerprint scans and bag check once the parks reopen?

    Hi Florine,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'll be happy to share as much information as I can about the reopening of the Walt Disney World theme parks later this month.

In normal times, the health and safety of Walt Disney World guests are priority #1. These aren't normal times by any means, and as you have no doubt seen, Walt Disney World has made many adaptations to allow for a responsible reopening. Those include mandatory face coverings for all guests over the age of 2, temperature screening of all guests, limited capacity in the theme parks using the Disney Park Pass System,  physical distancing measures, enhanced cleaning and suspension of some attractions and experiences.

While changes are expected to the security screening procedures at park entrances to minimize contact with cast members and surfaces, the details haven't been announced yet.

Cast members are currently training on the new procedures as they prepare to welcome guests in the coming days. The Disney Parks Blog recently posted a video showing cast members' focus on health and safety.

I am sure we will see lots of updates as reopening day nears that will be posted to the Disney Parks Blog and the Walt Disney World website. Or feel free to check back with us. We are eager to share any details we can to make your visit as safe and magical as possible.
