Ahoy there, Chistine! Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question for us. I’m delighted to see you have a Disney cruise coming up soon. Planning ground transportation in advance is a great idea and because seats are limited on the shuttles, booking early helps ensure you have a spot.
You are correct in that Disney Cruise Line offers ground transportation from the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport to Port Canaveral. I’m sorry you were presented with misinformation regarding staying in Orlando the night before your cruise from Port Everglades. Unfortunately, due to the distance (about 200 miles apart), Disney Cruise Line does not offer a shuttle between MCO and Port Everglades.
Since you still have some time before your sailing, perhaps you can modify your flight to land in
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport instead. Disney Cruise Line offers
ground transportation between that airport and Port Everglades on embarkation and debarkation days. If you’re interested in booking ground transportation from the airport, you can contact a
Disney Cruise Line Reservation Specialist who will gladly assist you.
If you are unable to change your airport from Orlando International Airport to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, there are 2 pre- and post-cruise hotels (Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa and Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina) that you can book through Disney Cruise Line and add transfers (for an additional fee) between the airport, hotel and Port Everglades. Their number is (800) 951-3532 if you want more information or to book your hotel and/or transfer directly.
If you have more trip-planning questions, please don’t hesitate to stop by
planDisney again.
Bon voyage,
Kiki
