    In 2024 does Disney still give you a lanyards to hold key to the world?

    Ahoy there, Kim!  Thank you for sailing by planDisney with your question.  We love to help Guests like yourself plan their upcoming Disney vacations.

    I sailed on the Disney Fantasy this summer and received a lanyard that would hold my Key to the World card, even though I had a DisneyBand+. Oftentimes I had on both at the same time because I have been sailing with lanyards for a long time!  The lanyards are provided to Guests who are at least Silver Castaway Club members.  First-time cruisers will find lanyards in the shops available for purchase if they would like one.

    A DisneyBand+ does have its advantage, though.  It offers hands-free access to your stateroom in addition to making purchases charged to your stateroom folio.  You can now use it to debark and embark all Disney Cruise Line ships at any port of call.  All Guests 18 years or older are still required to carry a photo ID to debark and embark.
