Hiya Virginia,
Welcome to planDisney! My wallet is always filled with
Disney Gift Cards. I’m either planning a trip, thinking about planning a trip, or on a trip, so they are a must-have. Before every trip, I combine all my gift card balances on one card and use it for snacks, Mickey Ears, and dining experiences. I don’t love the word budget, but Disney Gift Cards definitely help me keep my spending a little more controlled.
While I’ve never been able to find an
official list of participating locations where Disney Gift Cards are redeemable (the list would constantly be changing), in my experience, Disney Gift Cards at all Disney-owned-and-operated locations and select locations not owned by Disney, this typically includes the carts that sell churros and turkey legs. To be safe, I always ask the Cast Member at the cart before I order if they accept my Disney Gift Card before purchasing.
Before I let you go, Virginia, did you know you could use a Disney Gift Card when you
mobile order?! Unfortunately, you cannot save your Disney Gift Card as a payment method, but you can input your Disney Gift Card anytime you would like to use it. Since one of the perks of mobile ordering is that it is supposed to save you time, I like to use this tip one of my pals on the panel taught me. Before your trip, type your Disney Gift Card number and pin into the notes section of your mobile device. Then, anytime you want to use the Disney Gift Card to mobile order, all you have to do is copy and paste the information from your notes at checkout. It saves you so much time.
I hope this answers your question! Please let us know if you need help with anything else.
Happy Planning!
