Hi there Nicole, and welcome to planDisney!
From purchasing the perfect pair of Minnie Mouse ear headbands to buying tickets to explore the Most Magical Place on Earth,
Disney Gift Cards definitely come in handy. And Nicole, dining is my family's most common use for them. So, let's get into how you can, too!
First of all, you can absolutely use Disney Gift Cards for dining across Disney property. There are a couple of easy ways that you can put them to work.
-Add a card to your
My Disney Experience app: On one of my last trips, I used this method. After making a purchase for
Mobile Ordering, select "Use a Different Payment Method," select "Add a Card" and "Disney Gift Card."
-Use the physical card: When my family eats at a table-service restaurant, like
Be Our Guest Restaurant, simply give the Cast Member the card to pay for the meal. You can do this at many quick-service restaurants as well. Or, if you're snacking your way around
EPCOT, you can use your physical card at the food booth in exchange for some yummy global eats. So many possibilities!
As for
Savi's Workshop at
Disney's Hollywood Studios, fret not! The Force is with you. Before building your unique lightsaber, you will pay for the experience upon your arrival. Not only can you use a Disney Gift Card, but you can pay in cash, credit card, and combined options as well.
AN EXTRA GEM: I love that you can check your balance and combine gift cards (up to $1,000) using the Disney Gift Card website as well. This really helps to keep track of spending while on vacation.
As you can see, there are a ton of ways to use Disney Gift Cards. And if you don't use them all during your summer vacation, feel free to use them at
shopDisney online as well. Nicole, if you have any other questions as you plan, please
revisit us at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
