Hello again, Kelly!
Welcome to planDisney! We are so happy to have you here as you plan your Disney cruise. By the way, thanks for GIFTing us a great question.
While so much is included on a Disney Cruise Line vacation, some activities and excursions do require extra fees. This includes items like spa treatments at
Senses Spa and Salon, meals at
Palo,
beverage tastings,
Port Adventures,
photography,
gratuities, and
onboard merchandise. With your Key to the World card, you can charge everything to your stateroom account. Then you will settle up your account before disembarking. Whether you choose to pay the account off using a credit card, cash, or a Disney gift card (or any combination of these), it’s totally up to you! But you absolutely can
use Disney gift cards to pay towards your stateroom folio.
Did you know you can combine multiple Disney gift cards onto one card? Once you create an account on the
Disney Gift Card website, multiple cards can all be consolidated onto a single card (up to $ 1000). I definitely recommend consolidating gift cards so you have a minimal number to keep up with.
Here’s a planDisney tip: with kids, you might want to consider giving them a Disney gift card for their souvenirs to keep tabs on spending. My daughter always loved to get her shopping on, and who doesn’t love a Disney gift card? Kids love this because they get to be in charge of how the money is spent. And when it’s gone, it’s gone!
Kelly, we love sharing our tips about Disney cruising and are so glad you stopped by! Sail back over to planDisney anytime as you navigate your way to your MAGICal sailing.
