    Can Disney gift cards be used to pay for character dining experiences?

    Welcome back, Sharon! 

    Disney Gift Cards may be used to pay for your character dining experience. In fact, they can be used to pay for any dining experience, with the exception of a few restaurants in Disney Springs™ and the Rainforest Cafe in Disney's Animal Kingdom. You can use your gift cards as if they were credit cards. And, if you're like me, you've been collecting them here and there from select retailers. 

    Another tip I have, if you're staying at a Walt Disney World® resort hotel, is to use your MagicBand to pay for all your purchases. It is so much more convenient than to keep up with your gift cards and how much is on each. Then, prior to check-out, stop by the front desk and pay down your account with your gift cards. It's that simple! The only thing you will need to do is to make sure your MagicBand is set up for charging privileges by linking a credit card to your account.
