Greetings Victoria and welcome to planDisney!
I saw your question and it instantly reminded me of my youngest daughter who lives in Japan and who expertly guided us through an amazing tour of Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea a few years ago!
The Japan Pavillion is a must stop area for me when we travel to the world showcase at EPCOT. I wasn’t familiar with the
Mitsukoshi Capsule Toy Kiosk that is also sometimes called the Gashapon Kiosk and is located across from the
Mitsukoshi Department Store next to the Garden House.
The kiosk is machine-based and non-manned, which is why a very friendly cast member let me know that she believes that they do not accept
Disney Gift Cards at this time, only credit cards.
The machines dispense anime toys in a capsule! You can find Dragon Ball Daima, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, One Piece, and many more of your favorites!
Speaking of favorites Victoria, after you get your anime souvenir, I suggest one of our favorite meals, just up the stairs at
Teppan Edo! The food is always amazing, the chefs are entertaining, and we always have a great time!
While you’re in the Japan Pavillion area don’t miss the
Matsuriza drum show. It’s always incredible to see these giant drums! This is another reminder of my daughter who had a chance to participate in a Taiko drum festival in Japan when she was on a student exchange program. Oh, Disney always brings out memories!
Victoria, I hope your trip is magical! Sayonara!
