Hiya Susan - welcome to
planDisney!
Disney Gift Cards are fantastic in so many ways! Asking for them as gifts is a great way to save up for magical experiences during your Walt Disney World Vacation, they can also be an amazing budgeting tool, a great way to give little Mouseketeers some spending power, and so much more!
Susan, Disney Gift Cards are an accepted form of payment at almost every gosh darn place you can spend money at Walt Disney World Resort (
and beyond), including the fantastic Table Service restaurants at EPCOT. I will say that it sometimes takes an extra step, and depending on how the restaurant is set up, you may be asked to join your server at the computer to complete the transaction, especially if you are using an eGift Disney Gift Card. Don't let that deter you - it's totally normal for Guests to use them to cover the check at a Table Service restaurant!
I will say that there is one place that sometimes doesn't accept Disney Gift Cards, and that's at small or temporary food or beverage carts. It's rare, but sometimes Cast Members will set up shop in the standby queue of very popular attractions so Guests have the ability to hydrate or grab a snack in line while they wait. In the past, these have
sometimes been cash only.
Speaking of Table Service restaurants at
EPCOT, have you ever visited
Spice Road Table in the Morocco Pavilion? It's one of my favorites, mostly for the food, but I also love the amazing views from the covered outdoor seating area along World Showcase Lagoon. They also offer
Fireworks Dining Packages which give you an amazing meal plus a front-row seat to see EPCOT's nighttime fireworks spectacular,
Harmonious!
I hope this information has been helpful, Susan -
stop by with more questions any time!
