Hey, howdy, hey Deanna, and welcome to planDisney. One of the ways we stay on budget on our Disney vacations on land and sea is with
Disney Gift Cards. With the ability to pay for souvenirs,
Disney Resorts Collection hotel stays, and food and beverage items, we keep our spending under control.
Yes, you can pay for
Table Service meals and tips with Disney Gift Cards. When the server brings you the slip to sign you can leave a tip or an additional tip for parties over six people. The gift card is treated like a credit card. Before you pay for your meal,
check the balance on your Disney Gift Card if it is uploaded to the Disney Gift Card site (just a site to view your balances and not treated like a digital wallet). Afterward, your balance will be less than that printed on your dining receipt because your tip will not be deducted.
You can also use your Disney Gift Card for
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering but you must enter the number each time. To save time, I keep the gift card number on the notepad in my phone and copy and paste it when I mobile order.
Deanna, I hope this information helps you have a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious time. If you have any follow-up questions, please feel free to
write me back directly or reach out to any planDisney panelist.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
