Can you use Disney Gift cards to rent a cabana at Typhoon Lagoon?

    Hi Beth!

Welcome to planDisney! One of my favorite things about Walt Disney World Resort is the fact that there are so many choices in how to enjoy your vacation! Whether you want to rope drop the parks, stay out late enjoying the dining and entertainment at Disney Springs, or even float along Castaway Creek at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, the possibilities are endless!

Beth, the Beachcomber Shacks at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon are a wonderful way to enhance your water park visit.  These provide a shaded place to relax during your visit to the water park and currently include cold water throughout the day, refillable mugs to use during your visit to the water park, towels, attendant service, and cushioned seating.  There are standard and deluxe options available depending on the size of your party.  If you want to take your private oasis to the next level, you can look at the Beachcomber Shacks Premium Plus option which currently includes everything above, plus a dining table, mini fridge, flatscreen TV, and outlets!

You'll be happy to know that you can use Disney Gift Cards in many ways on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, including to reserve a Beachcomber Shack during your visit.  I like purchasing Disney Gift Cards in small increments during the months leading up to my trip as it helps me budget.  When completing most online purchases, you’ll find that you typically can only use one gift card.  Have multiple gift cards to use?  Hakuna Matata!  Simply visit the Disney Gift Cards website to load your gift card information and merge values onto one card (up to $1000 per card).

As you might expect, the Beachcomber Shacks are very popular and quantities are limited, so I recommend making your reservations when they open 60 days before your visit.  If you are staying in the Disney Resorts Collection, you have the added advantage of securing your reservation 60 days from the first day of your stay!  These same reservation guidelines apply to other special experiences in the Enchanting Extras Collection as well as your advanced dining reservations.

Beth, I hope this helps as you prepare for a relaxing day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon!  If you have any other vacation planning questions, I hope you stop by to see me and my pals here at planDisney again - we're all ears!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
