Joanne please keep in mind that some food carts and third-party vendors operating at Walt Disney World might not accept the Disney Gift Card as payment. It’s best to ask your server prior to placing your order so they can let you know what to expect.
The Disney Gift Card is a really smart way to spend at Disney World, whether it was gifted to you or not. I like to use them to help me stick to my vacation budget. Not only do I use gift cards when my family visits to keep our spending in check, but I also purchase individual gift cards for my kids so they can spend their daily allotted amount on whatever they wish. Each kid gets a set dollar amount per day to spend - whether they spend or save is up to them. They can use their gift card cash on merchandise, special fun snacks, or whatever else they wish for.
