Can you use Disney Gift cards to purchase After Hours tickets?

    Magical greetings Beth,

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for submitting your question to us.

Disney Gift Cards are a great way to plan budgets for visits to the Walt Disney World Resort! I like to plan what snacks and souvenirs to buy on my visit and purchase a Disney Gift Card beforehand! It helps that each Disney Gift Card can hold up to $1000.00, so if you have multiple Disney Gift Cards, you can transfer the balances onto one card, just like magic!

If you wish to use a Disney Gift Card to purchase tickets to a Disney After Hours event, make sure to upload it into your Disney account. You can also upload them into Apple Wallet for use at all theme parks, retail locations at Disney Springs, and the Disney Resorts Collection. I spoke with a Cast Member, and Tabatha recommended that if you plan on using multiple forms of payment (i.e. Disney Gift Cards and a credit or debit card), it would take a little extra pixie dust from a Cast Member to ensure your payment methods are accepted.

Did you know you can also use your Disney Gift Card at the Disney After Hours events? Disney Gift Cards are accepted in retail shops and at all dining locations in the parks! So load up a Disney Gift Card and bring it with you to the event!

If you have other questions about the Walt Disney World Resort, remember - you’ve got a friend in me!
