Hi Jennifer! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! I love seeing that Guests are booking their next Disney holidays all the way into late 2023. With everything that goes into planning for a
Walt Disney World trip, it is never too early to start the process!
Next to MagicBands, Disney Gift Cards are the next item that I do not leave my home without when traveling to Walt Disney World. They can be used at many places all around the Resort, including a vast majority of dining locations. In fact, I use
Disney Gift Cards as a way to budget for my meals. When planning our trip, I take a look at the menus from restaurants we made
Advanced Dining Reservations at and get an idea of how much we are going to spend. Then, I purchase Disney Gift Cards for the approximate amount and use them for payment at these locations. It's a great way to have the cost of your food already accounted for!
Disney Gift Cards are also accepted at many merchandise locations on Walt Disney World property. My wife and I usually purchase one for each of our daughters before our visit to allow them to buy something for themselves on the trip. This helps set the expectation that they have a set amount they can spend and not continue to ask us for more as the week goes on. I've actually used this same principle for me in the past to hold myself accountable. I'm not sure about you, but the second I walk into
World of Disney I feel like I need it all!
Speaking of food options, the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is underway this year and extends into November. Since your visit next year is in September, there is a great chance that your holiday will overlap with this event. I suggest taking a look at the menus for each festival booth and getting an idea of what might return for next year. While each festival brings new food offerings, there is some that return again!
Jennifer, I hope this information helps you plan for your upcoming visit! If you think of anything else you need help with,
stop back and see me at planDisney!
Happy planning!
Greg
