Can I use Disney gift cards to purchase the Disney California resident 3-day park hopper?

Greetings, Elise, and welcome to planDisney! The 3-Day Park Hopper Ticket for California residents is a great deal. Let's make sure you have everything you need to purchase your ticket!

Elise, Disney Gift Cards can indeed be used to purchase theme park tickets directly on the Disneyland website, including the California Resident Park Hopper Ticket. Keep in mind that only one gift card can be used per transaction, so you’ll first want to combine your balances if you have more than one card. Visit DisneyGiftCard.com, create an account, and register each of your cards. Then you can transfer all your balances onto a single card (up to $1,000 total).

After you've done that, sign in to your MyDisney account on the Disneyland website, choose your ticket(s), and select your reservation dates. When you reach the payment page, check the "Use a Disney Gift Card" box and enter the information from the back of your card. If you are purchasing multiple tickets and the total exceeds $1,000, you can either pay the remaining balance with a debit or credit card or split the purchase into separate transactions.

Any leftover funds on your Disney Gift Card can be used at shopping or dining locations throughout the parks during your visit. Speaking of dining, lots of fantastic new food options just debuted at the Resort. The Disney Parks Blog has a great roundup of the new items, so take a look and pick out a few items you really want to try.

I do want to mention, Elise, that the current 3-Day Park Hopper Ticket offer is available only to California residents living in ZIP codes 90000-96199. Each person using the ticket for admission will need to show a valid government-issued photo ID to prove eligible residency. Make sure you bring your ID with you the first time you use these tickets!

Elise, you are one step closer to visiting the Happiest Place on Earth! I hope you can easily purchase your tickets and make your theme park reservations. If you think of any other questions, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney.
