Hi Shannon,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so glad you stopped back by with a new question. As you can imagine, my family and friends all know how much I love to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. I frequently receive Disney Gift Cards on special occasions. Just this past Mother's Day, my husband gave me a new Disney Gift Card! I like to save the gift cards to help pay for my next vacation.
I just confirmed with a Cast Member that you should be able to pay off your Walt Disney World Resort
vacation package using
Disney Gift Cards online. If you have a balance due on your vacation package, then when you visit
My Disney Experience online and view your Resort Reservation you should see a button to click to make a payment on your package. If you did not book a vacation package and booked a Room Only reservation at a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, those reservations cannot be paid off online. If you did make a Room Only reservation or if for some reason you do not see an option to use a Disney Gift Card to pay your vacation package balance, you will need to call the Reservation Line, (407) 934-7639, and speak to a Cast Member. If you booked your vacation package with a travel professional, you will need to contact them to make payments.
My last piece of advice about using Disney Gift Cards. If you have several gift cards, I highly recommend visiting the
Disney Gift Card website where you can combine several gift cards into one. If you need to cancel your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort for any reason, they will refund money to the original form of payment. It's so much easier to have a refund to three or four gift cards versus over fifty gift cards!
Shannon, thank you again for visiting us with another great question. Please let us know if you have any other questions before your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. We're always here to help!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy H.
