Hi Donna,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with a question about your Disney Gift Card. With your trip right around the corner, let's jump right in.
I love that Disney Gift Cards can be used for just about everything. From theme park tickets and merchandise, dining, unforgettable experiences and more, they are such a convenient way to budget for a trip to
Disney World. With a damaged magnetic strip, your card may not be able to be swiped for payment; however, the good news is that you still have a few options.
For mobile orders and mobile merchandise checkout, you can type in the numbers on the back of your physical gift card for payment. I like to have the number saved in a note on my phone so I can quickly copy and paste instead of typing out the 16 digits each time I make a purchase.
If you have another gift card (digital or physical), you can visit
www.disneygiftcard.com and manage your cards. From there, you can easily transfer the balance from your damaged card to another card and dispose of the damaged card. If you run into any trouble, Guest Relations in the parks or at
Disney Springs can transfer the balance to a new Disney Gift Card in just a few minutes. I also recommend keeping a photo of the front and back of your card handy (as well as your proof of payment), just in case.
I hope this information is helpful, Donna. Have a wonderful trip to Disney, and if you have any other questions, please swing by planDisney - we'd love to help!
See ya real soon,
Candace
