    Are Disney gift cards (ie the ones that can be purchased at local grocery stores) accepted everywhere in the park (ie souvenir shops, dining etc)? Thanks in advance!

    Hi, Erin!

    I am one of those crazy people who stock up on Disney Gift Cards to receive the "perks" from my grocery store, so I have done this many times.

    I have used the Disney Gift Cards from my grocery store on everything on my Disney vacation from dining to shopping to paying for my resort room.  You may find a few locations (kiosks) that are cash only and cannot accept your gift card, but that is rare.

    I just bought some Disney Gift Cards to pay for an upcoming vacation, and it says right on the front "Redeemable at WDW, Disneyland, DCL, Disney Store, and Adventures by Disney."  For more information on the Disney Gift Card, go to www.disneygiftcard.com.   There is even a FAQ section if you have specific questions.

    Buying the gift cards ahead of time is a great way to save up for your vacation (I get a $25 card whenever I go shopping and save them up for my vacations) and also a great way to get "perks" if your particular store offers free gas like mine does!

    So next time you are out picking up eggs and milk, toss in your Disney Gift Cards and start saving for your magical vacation!
