Welcome to planDisney! I just used this new feature a couple of weeks ago, and we ordered in person (instead of
Mobile Ordering) several times. So, I’m happy to help you out!
At any place that accepts Disney gift cards, I was able to pull the gift card up on my app, and the Cast Member could scan the bar code. I also loved that I could monitor my gift card’s balance right there on the app throughout my trip. It made things so easy!
To find your gift card (or link a new one) in your
My Disney Experience app, click the 3 lines in the bottom right corner, then scroll down to click My Disney Wallet. There, you’ll see any credit cards you have linked to your account, and if you scroll down a bit, you’ll find your gift cards. Click Manage to pull up your gift card information, including the bar code.
It’s good to note that if you have an
Annual Passholder or Disney Vacation Club discount, you’ll need to navigate to a different part of the app first to show that you’re eligible for the discount, then come back to the gift card section. That took a bit more time when checking out, but overall, the process was very easy. I’m so glad this is all a part of the app now!
