Aloha, Kimberly! Thanks so much for visiting planDisney--I'm so glad you stopped by with your vacation planning question. One of my favorite pastimes is discussing all things
Disney Vacation Club, and I'm here to add a bit of extra pixie dust to your upcoming travels!
There isn't much better than a vacation where the sky meets the sea--otherwise known as
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. Aulani holds a special place in my heart and I am sure you will find so much to love about this Hawaiian paradise. It is the perfect spot for a well-deserved vacation with opportunities around every corner to enjoy the resort activities, relax, and reconnect with your family.
Kimberly, I'm happy to report that
Disney Gift Cards are accepted everywhere at the resort--and there are many great spots to put those cards to good use! Let me highlight a few of our family's favorites:
- Laniwai Spa is a must-do for a day of pampering. The Kula Wai outdoor hydrotherapy garden is perhaps the most peaceful place at the resort and I think I could have stayed there for a week! If you're traveling with any keiki aged 3 to 12, they will love visiting Painted Sky: HI Style Studio for a fun makeover. My girls got the most beautiful hairstyles for a wedding we were attending and the Cast Members were amazing!
- For Character Dining with a tropical twist, I recommend booking a breakfast at Makahiki - The Bounty of the Islands for a fun start to the day with Mickey Mouse and friends.
- My youngest and I love snorkeling and stand-up paddleboarding, and you can rent gear for both at Makiki Joe's on-site. If you rent snorkeling equipment, you'll also be able to explore Rainbow Reef, the only private lagoon on O'ahu that is exclusively for Guests at Aulani.
I hope these suggestions are helpful for your planning purposes, Kimberly! If you have any other questions about Aulani, don't hesitate to reach out to our planDisney 'Ohana again--we're always here to help!
Aloha!
Susan
