can the Disney Gift card be used in conjunction with the dining plan. ie if there is a cash balance to pay can this be covered by the gift card

    Hi, Alistair!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You can absolutely use a Disney Gift Card to cover your gratuity, specialty beverages and additional food charges you may incur that are not covered by your Disney Dining Plan. They are accepted, and function in the same way you would use a credit card.

In fact, I use Disney Gift Cards to cover all my vacation incidentals. I purchase them here and there as my strategy for saving for my vacation. My favorite thing to do for convenience is to still use my Magic Band to pay, and then stop by the front desk of my resort a few days into my vacation to pay down my balance. This way, I'm not carting all the gift cards I've collected around with me, but I still get the benefit of using them.

I hope this helps, Alistair! Please let us know if you have any additional questions. We are here to help!
