Can I use a Disney gift card for tips? I'm on the dining plan as well

    Hi Lynn!

I pay for almost everything with Disney Gift Cards while I am on vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort!  Everyone in my family knows that they are the best gift to give me for birthdays and other holidays.

You can certainly use them to pay for your gratuity at Table-Service restaurants on the Disney Dining Plan!  Just let your server know at the end of your meal that you'd like to use your Disney Gift Card to pay.

What I like to do is charge everything, including gratuities, to my MagicBand and then pay off my balance at the front desk.  It's an extra step, but it's easier for me to keep track of what I'm spending and how much is left on the gift card.

Did you know that you can register your Disney Gift Cards online?  Head to the website where you can combine multiple gift cards into one, check your balance and most importantly, register them.  If you accidentally lose it during your vacation, it's secured on the website where you can transfer the balance to another card.  This has saved me twice while on vacation!

Please stop back if you have any additional questions.

    Have a magical day!
