Hi Emily!
Welcome BACK to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Disney Springs is one of my favorite places to go at Walt Disney World Resort. I find that it's the perfect place to kick off a Disney vacation by checking out all of the new Mickey-fied merchandise and by buying our first Mickey ice cream bars.
Disney Gift Cards are accepted at 99 percent of all retail and dining locations across all of Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, ShopDisney.com and local Disney Stores across the globe. (I would have added the extra one percent, but I have run into a few balloon vendors who are cash-only.) I've yet to find a Disney dining location who has rejected a Disney Gift Card. And yes, you may absolutely include a gratuity from a Disney Gift Card. In fact, you can charge the meal using any
Disney Dining Plan entitlements you may have and leave just a tip on a Disney Gift Card.
If you're a guest of a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you can always charge everything from souvenirs to meals to special
Enchanting Extras to the card on file with your
MagicBand, and then pay your MagicBand balance off with your Disney Gift Cards. I did this recently on my own Walt Disney World Resort Vacation. When you check in you'll authorize a certain amount to be held on your credit card for MagicBand charging privileges. You can stop by your Resort Hotel front desk to pay down or pay off your balance as many times as you need before the total amount held from your credit card actually charges.
I hope this helped, Emily, and We'll See You Real Soon!
