Can I use a disney gift card to make a payment on my vacation?

    Hi Chloe,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for taking the time to reach out to us with your question.  It looks like you are planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort for this fall, you are going to be there for the beginning of the 50th Anniversary Celebration, how exciting!

One of the many reasons I love visiting Walt Disney World Resort is how easy it is to plan my entire vacation, including the flexibility with payment.  Guests are absolutely able to use a Disney Gift Card to make a payment toward their Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package.  After logging into My Disney Experience on the official Walt Disney World Resort website, select "My Plans" and under your reservation there should be a link to "Make A Payment".  Following the prompts, input the amount you would like to pay and then select Disney Gift Card.  I have always found the new balance remaining updates quickly, but it may take up to 24 hours for the changes to be reflected in your account.  Disney Gift Cards can be used for other purchases while at Walt Disney World Resort, including most dining, merchandise, Theme Park Tickets and so much more.

I hope you have a wonderful time at Walt Disney World Resort this fall, Chloe.  If you have any other questions as you continue to plan, please come back to planDisney, we are always happy to help.
