Hi Michelle! I'm so excited for you!!! You are three short days away from your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!!!
I love how you are putting the finishing touches on your vacation. This is an excellent question and I want to thank you for sharing it with the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I have great news! When dining in a Walt Disney World Resort restaurant, you can pay for the tip using a
Disney Gift Card. In fact, Disney Gift Cards can be used throughout most of Walt Disney World Resort. Last year, Santa brought my two kiddos Disney Gift Cards and they both used them at the
The Lego Store in
Disney Springs.
I have another option for you as well. On our last vacation, we (the adults) had been gifted some pretty substantial Disney Gift Cards from my family. I didn't want to carry them with me throughout the theme parks so a few days after we checked in to our Walt Disney World Resort hotel, we went to the front desk and used our Disney Gift Cards to pay for several of our current charges. Upon checkout, the credit card we had on file was used for our remaining charges.
Whatever works best for you is perfect. I love the flexibility the
MagicBand provides. It frees me up from carrying additional forms of payment (though I do typically carry one form of payment as backup just in case - but I have never had to use it). I use my MagicBand to purchase everything from snacks to souvenirs and the charges go straight to my Resort hotel room. It's so convenient.
Thanks again for your question and have a magical vacation!
